Sally Rooney's highly-anticipated series 'Normal People' will be arriving on RTE One and the RTE Player later this month.
The 12-part drama series, based on the Irish author's critically-acclaimed second novel, is set to be available for Irish audiences at the end of the month. Filmed for BBC Three, 'Normal People' on RTE will follow the rollercoaster lives of two Irish teens who first attend the same school together in the west of Ireland, before attending college in Dublin.
In the series, we'll join Marianne and Connell, played by up and coming actors Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal, who start to form a private relationship while in school. Once they're forced out into the big bad world of fending for themselves while living away from home, the series sees how such a change can affect a person's personality.
The 'Normal People' series was filmed by Irish director Lenny Abrahamson, who is known for directing the likes of 'Room' with Brie Larson, and 'Frank' with Domhnall Gleeson.
