The 'Deadpool' actor and all-round nice guy will appear in one of the upcoming episodes of the children's bedtime series.

Ryan Reynolds is the latest star to join the 'CBeebies Bedtime Stories' lineup, dialling in for a very special video call in an upcoming episode.

The Hollywood action hero, who recently starred in 'The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard' and also lends his voice to the upcoming animation sequel 'The Croods: A New Age', couldn't make an appearance in the usual 'Bedtime Stories' setting, but instead created a video call from his home in Canada.

For the episode, Ryan will be reading the 1963 book 'Where The Wild Things Are' by Maurice Sendak. The book was turned into a live-action movie in 2009 by director Spike Jonze.

Here's a clip from the Ryan Reynolds 'CBeebies Bedtime Stories' episode, which will air in a couple of weeks time on Friday, July 16 at 6.50pm.

Ryan Reynolds' appearance on 'CBeebies Bedtime Stories' sees him join the likes of other Marvel heads who previously appeared on the show. Most recently, Tom Hiddleston, the star of the Disney+ TV series 'Loki', read 'Supertato' by Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet. There has also been an appearance or two by Tom Hardy, as well as Chris Evans, Patrick Stewart, and James McAvoy.

'Bridgerton' star Regé-Jean Page and 'The Theory of Everything' actor Felicity Jones were two of the newest additions to the children's series this year.
