Ronan Keating's 23-year-old son Jack has entered Casa Amor on 'Love Island' and it's made for difficult watching for the 'Boyzone' singer.

On BBC’s 'The One Show', Ronan Keating has admitted to feeling like "a mess, an absolute mess" while watching his son over in Majorca appearing on 'Love Island'.

In what is unfolding to be one of the most explosive and intense seasons in at least a few years, Jack is walking into peak drama for the series. Casa Amor has historically been a source of animosity on the show and this year it's no different.

So, we totally understand why, as a father, Ronan Keating seems to feel a little bit wound up while watching it. Noticing that his son was a wee bit on the quieter side during his debut episode, Keating admits, "[I] wish him the best. I hope he does okay".

He explains "He’s got such a big heart and he’s a real softy so I’m just worried about him in there with all those other guys". At this stage though, he's settling in and getting friendly with Michael Owen's daughter, Gemma, whom he name dropped his father to.

We suspect that there'll be a few words had when Jack gets home, since Keating "nearly fell off his chair" when he heard his son describe him as "retired" to Gemma. He iterated, "No I'm definitely not retired!".

One thing is for sure, we're exceedingly eager to see how things unfold tonight with the post Casa Amor "stick or twist" re-coupling. Do we reckon Jack will make the cut?

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player.
