Last week it seemed everybody and anybody was talking about the Ronan O' Gara documentary on RTE.

The hour and half long programme pulled in a whopping 595,000 people, with an extra 65,800 views coming from the RTE Player.

The doc managed to gain more viewers than the final Late Late Show and ranked as the fifth most viewed show over Christmas. All it had ahead of it was‘Mrs Brown Boys’ Christmas special, (can anybody beat that show at the moment?) and Christmas news bulletins.

He was trending on Twitter long after the doc was shown as well, with everybody who watched wanting to share their two cents on it.

In our opinion it really was fantastic viewing and worthy of such figures. Really gave a great insight into just how difficult playing professional sports can be. "The highs never match the lows" line really said it all.

Hope the man himself is proud out there in France. Good old ROG, you'd miss him about the place.
