The former S Club 7 singer and solo artist has reportedly injured her wrist during rehearsals.

Just one week into the competition and there's already been a second casualty on ITV's reality show. Rachel Stevens will miss her first 'Dancing On Ice' appearance due to an injury she sustained this week.

The TV series tweeted the news this morning via Twitter, writing that they hope the star will be well enough to join the competition from next week: "Due to an injury sustained in training and on the expert advice from the Dancing On Ice medical professionals, Rachel Stevens will not skate in this Sunday's show. We look forward to her returning to the show next weekend."

Rachel Stevens is partnered with 'Dancing On Ice' professional skater Brendyn Hatfield. According to reports, she has fractured her wrist following a fall during training.

Having only launched on ITV (and Virgin Media One) this past weekend, Stevens is the second star who will have to remain out of the competition until episode three. Happy Mondays star Bez, real name Mark Berry, performed on the night but tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday. He will have to quarantine for the remainder of the week.

Season 14 of the reality show kicked off on Sunday night with six celebrities and their professional partners taking to the ice for the first time. Joining Bez for the first round were Pussycat Dolls' performer Kimberly Wyatt, former 'Strictly' professional Brendan Cole, Olympic BMX racer Kye Whyte, TV presenter Ria Hebden and 'Coronation Street's Sally Webster, Sally Dynevor.

With Stevens now out of this weekend's show, the five contestants making their ice debut will be English rugby player Ben Foden, The Vamps member Connor Ball, dancer Regan Gascoigne, Paralympian Stef Reid and 'Love Island' star Liberty Poole.
