If you've been watching the current season of FX's Louie, you'll note that there's been a massive shift in tone from previous seasons. Now entering its fourth season, we find Louis CK now struggling to get a hold of his life and dealing with the realities of it all.

It's pretty heavy stuff, but one thing we've noticed is that it's taking in increasingly well-known actors in smaller roles. American Hustle's Jeremy Renner is due to star in an upcoming episode and in a recent interview, he revealed that Philip Seymour Hoffman was originally meant to star alongside him in the episode.

"It's about a young Louie, so he isn't even acting in it - he's just directing it," Renner explained. Renner then expressed an interest in starring in True Detective, but likened TV work to "getting married over the weekend", firmly squashing the idea.
