Wowsers, between this and the alleged addition of Chris Martin, the chair spinning prowess of the judges on this year's panel is really something to be reckoned with. There's some actual talent and people who know what they're talking about, 'n stuff. They even play instruments.

Superstar producer Pharrell plans to have "fun" being a judge on The Voice USA. The Happy individual shared his excitement on Twitter after NBC confirmed that he is appearing in the show's seventh season later this year.

Pharrell previously appeared on season four as a guest mentor alongside his mate Usher, who is working on the current season and - up until now - has had a rotating spot with CeeLo as a full-time coach.

The 39-year-old Forget You crooner announced last month that he wouldn't be returning to the show again, as he is developing his own TV show. He said: "I'm not coming back guys. I'm going to continue my relationship with NBC. I have a television show development deal with them as well and hopefully some other talk show opportunities for later in the year... But yeah, I'm going to miss The Voice too. So I'm not coming back guys."

Country star Blake Shelton and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine are also on the judging panel, while Christina Aguilera and Shakira take turns every season.

I'd say Simon Cowell's thrilled to bits X Factor USA got cancelled - there's no way he could compete with this line up considering his seemingly very limited pool of panelists which he wheels out every few years. Next year, he's bringing back Dannii Minogue. Just a hunch.
