'Peaky Blinders' is about to air its sixth and final season. We finally know when that last chapter of the Shelby family saga will begin...

'Peaky Blinders' has been airing since 2013 and has been the subject of critical praise and high viewership figures.

It focusses on the Shelby family, a gangster family on the rise in Birmingham, England, in the wake of the conclusion of World War I.

According to the 'Peaky Blinders' creator Steven Knight, the sixth season "will now go into and beyond the Second World War."

Cillian Murphy, Sophie Rundle, Finn Cole and Paul Anderson are all expected to return for season 6. One of the stars of the series, Helen McCrory, sadly passed away last April.

Anya Taylor-Joy, Sam Claflin, and Tom Hardy are also among the cast members reprising their roles.

Stephen Graham of 'Line of Duty' fame is joining them.

The sixth season of 'Peaky Blinders' will run for six episodes on BBC iPlayer and BBC One on Sundays, with the first one airing on 27 February at 9pm.

The premiere date for Netflix is currently unknown.

Following the sixth season, there will be a 'Peaky Blinders' movie, says Knight. The series is also being turned into a theatrical show.
