Time to get wiping those tears lads, Dr Eva Orsmond's just announced that she will NOT be coming back for another series of RTE's Operation Transformation.

"After a fantastic six years I have reluctantly taken the decision to step down from Operation Transformation" she said in a statement released this morning. "I am engaged in developing several new projects in my clinics with a focus on childhood obesity, anti ageing and complete nutritional services. I am also in the process of completing my new book on weight loss which will be published by Gill McMillan in January 2014. It has been a pleasure to work with the OT team and all the leaders"

Nutrition expert Eva hit the headlines last year after she told a tearful Charlotte to "cop on", and even ended up having to defend herself on national telly. To say it made for awkward viewing would be a bit of an understatement. Mario Rosenstock does a fantastic version too.

Kathryn Thomas
and co are gearing up for series 7, yes 7, of the immensely popular RTE series and put out the nationwide call for new leaders this morning. "I am delighted to be presenting the seventh series of Operation Transformation. It’s such an inspiring series and really proves what people can achieve when they put their minds to it." she told listeners on The John Murray Show this morning.

"Last year the five leaders inspired so many people as they worked to improve their lives and showed just what can be achieved with focus and the support of the Operation Transformation experts and the whole nation." If you're up for the challenge then email ot(at)vipmg.tv, or give two ladies by the name of Sinead or Bríd a call on 01 864 1444.

We don't think it'll be the same without Eva though...
