Won't somebody please think of the children? That was the cry from about 300 or so angry viewers who weren't at all pleased with the fact that Lady Gaga stripped down to her flesh coloured smalls on the X Factor a few weeks ago, but what did broadcast regulator Ofcom make of it?

Well, despite receiving 317 direct complaints and a further 60 through ITV, they've decided that the whole thing was a storm in a teacup and won't even be bothering to look into it any further. "This is a list of complaints that, after careful assessment, Ofcom has decided not to pursue because they did not raise issues warranting investigation" the broadcasting watchdog said in a statement released today.

ITV had previously defended Gaga's October 27th performance of 'Do What U Want' and 'Venus', stating that it did not believe Lady Gaga's performance was inappropriate for the "family audience" that is generally attracted by the X Factor Results Show.

We're guessing there'll be more where that came from so...
