Remember Ryan from The OC? That series may have dragged out a good season or two longer than it should have, but actor Ben McKenzie - who played Ryan - was definitely one of the few redeeming qualities left. Now he is set to star in new Batman TV Show called 'Gotham' playing the famous character of Detective Gordon.
He follows in the footsteps of actors like Gary Oldman, who has played the character in the past. The show is set to be a prequel of sorts, and will follow his journey to becoming a police officer. Although he has big shoes to fill, we're pretty confident Ben is up to the job. He was set to be the next big thing during his time on The OC, so maybe this will be the show to do it.
The actor tweeted yesterday, "All I can promise is I will do my best not to screw this up. Can't wait to get to work."
