Nadine Coyle might not have been a huge hit with the judges on last night's show, but she was certainly a hit with viewers.

Nadine Coyle's 'Bake Off' experience had fans of the show in equal amounts of tears and laughter following her stint on the baking competition.

The Northern Irish singer was joined by former 'Challenge Anneka' children's presenter Anneka Rice, comedian John Bishop, and Paralympian Ade Adepitan for the final episode in the 'Stand Up To Cancer' celebrity special series. Rice eventually went on to be crowned the Star Baker of the episode.

Coyle's baking skills left judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith desiring a bit more from the Girls Aloud singer, however, commenting that her technical challenge of the coffee and walnut financiers were "quite raw". Oh dear. Well, at least we had our fill of her lovely Derry accent saying "flour", while making a mess of the tent.

Many viewers also noted Nadine Coyle's reference to "a very close friend" who is currently battling cancer. Her former Girls Aloud bandmate Sarah Harding was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020, leading us to believe that Nadine took part in the series in honour of her friend.

Presenter Matt Lucas approached the singer to inquire as to why she is on the show, to which she replied: "I have a very close friend at the minute who is suffering from cancer.

"It’s terrifying, you look at the statistics and the more research there is and the more money and funding there is to do that the better people’s odds are. You never know when the next big breakthrough is going to happen. And hopefully very soon."

Here's some of the final Nadine Coyle 'Bake Off' reaction, which was overrun with references to the Girls Aloud singer.
