You can never have enough of a good thing, right? We absolutely love Modern Family. It's consistently been one of the funniest, most heart-warming shows on TV right now. In fact, it's won Best Series at the Emmys for four years in a row. So, naturally, the showrunners at ABC want to capitalise on that.

It's been reported that they're in talks to create a spin-off series based on Phil Dunphy's arch-rival, Gil Thorp. The character - played by comedian Rob Riggle - is seen as a sort of douchey, overly-confident foil to Ty Burrell / Phil Dunphy's character. Rob Riggle is in talks with the writers and producers of the show.

This follows on from news that AMC have signed off on the Saul Goodman spinoff of Breaking Bad with Bob Odenkirk set to reprise his role as the sleazeball lawyer. We're particularly looking forward to that one. What other TV shows would like to see get a spinoff? There were rumours floating around for years that The Sopranos was going to spinoff Johnny Sack's character into his own series and that one of the season's finales was set up so they could do it.

Anyways, let us know what you think in the comments!
