The actor has been an Emmy nominee for his roles in 'Bessie', 'The Night Of' and 'When They See Us'.

He is also currently nominated for a Supporting Actor Emmy Award for his role as Montrose Freeman in HBO's 'Lovecraft Country'. The ceremony is due to take place later this month on September 19.
