The CBeebies Bedtime Story crew has drafted in another Marvel actor for their newest episodes this summer.
Instead of us keeping up with his intergalactic Marvel adventures, Tom Hiddleston will be appearing on CBeebies to help carry us off to the land of nod for a more wholesome experience.
The CBeebies Bedtime Story show, which airs every weekday at 6.50pm on the CBeebies channel, will be hosting the Marvel actor for a new episode next Friday. And as always, it'll be the adults who will enjoy the star's appearance than the children.
Tom, who plays Loki on the big screen (and on the newest Disney+ series), will be reading a children's book which won't stray too far from his comic-book character's roots. 'Supertato' by Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet is all about a superhero potato and a supervillain pea.
Tom will begin the story by reading: "Tonight’s bedtime story is all about a supervillain. This guy is really naughty, very cheeky… and bright green. But never fear, because where there’s trouble, a superhero is sure to follow."
Tom isn't the first Marvel actor to make an appearance on the children's show. Chris Evans, who played Captain America in the MCU movies, appeared on the series twice before. Tom Hardy, who plays Venom in Sony's Marvel movies, also appeared a number of times in the past.
You can tune into the Tom Hiddleston CBeebies episode on Friday, June 25 at 6.50pm. In a special for this Sunday evening, Cat Deeley will appear in a Father’s Day episode, where she will read 'Love Makes A Family' by Sophie Beer.
