You haven't had a good cry in a while, right?

Well, a Marley & Me TV series is going to fix that right up for you. It's just been announced that a sequel to the tearjerker is on the way at NBC and will be written by a former Sex & The City writer and directed by the guy who did The Devil Wears Prada.

The story will see the Grogans returning to Florida to move on with their lives after, well, you know.

However, a stray dog that looks just like Marley wanders into their lives and, wouldn't you know it, is just as destructive / cute as the original Marley.

Slow-clap, TV people. Slow f*cking clap. You literally copied the film.

There's no word yet on casting, however we'd be very surprised if Owen Wilson and Jennifer Anniston returned to their roles.
