A lead role in the TV adaptation of an insanely popular fantasy novel series might be enough for most actors to want to audition for a TV show but clearly Maisie Williams is not like most actors.

The 19 year old star who's played the role of Arya Stark in the HBO series since she was twelve years old has revealed that it wasn't fame wasn't her main motivation for auditioning for the job. In fact, it was much more practical than that.

“The thing I was really obsessed about was whether I would earn enough money to buy myself a laptop." she told The Guardian.

"My stepdad, Gary, just looked at me and said: ‘I think there’ll be enough for a couple of laptops, Maisie.’”

So there you have it. A laptop. It's refreshing to learn that not every young starlet gets into acting for fame. They sometimes do it for the money too.
