It's about time things got a bit of a shakeup in that 'Love Island' villa, it can't all be on our Maura from Longford. And what better way to do that then to pack half them off to Casa Amor?
For those that are new to 'Love Island', this is usually where the boys head over to live in a different villa for a few days with a brand new set of girls. While back at the main villa a new batch of fellas arrive to keep the girls' company. Loyalty is tested, heads are turned, in short, it's carnage.
This time it looks like the 'Love Island' powers-that-be will be mixing it up and sending the girls off to Casa Amor. And why not, don't they deserve a holiday from their, er, holiday.
Take a look at the 6 boys and 6 girls who will be hoping to leave an impression on the islanders.
'Love Island' girls react to the new Casa Amor boys
GIRLS
Maria Wild
Maria, 22, is a VIP host from Cheltenham
What makes you the perfect Love Islander?
I am clingy, I am emotional and I am loving. Once I’m attached to someone, I’m very much attached.
What are your three best and worst personality traits?
I’m quite passionate – whatever it is I am doing, I’m very all or nothing. Like I said, I’m very loving. I really do care about other people a lot. I’m very close to my family, that’s very important to me. I can be quite stubborn, I am an only child so I often expect to get my own way and I’m quite bossy.
How would you rate your looks on a scale of one to ten and what would you say is your best feature?
I’d say I’m either a strong seven or a weak eight. My best feature is probably my lips. They are natural but people always ask me if I’ve had them done, so I guess I’m quite lucky.
Who do you have your eye on in the villa?
Deep down, it is Anton but I just can’t stop thinking about when he went in and talked about having a wandering eye. When I first saw him, I was not attracted to him but now I’ve watched him and got to know him, he’s funny and sweet.
What’s your idea of the perfect guy?
Someone who is ambitious, successful, hard working, can have a laugh and poke fun at themselves. Looks aren’t a massive thing for me. I’m not going to say they have to be gorgeous, but they need to look after themselves and be groomed.
Who is your celebrity crush?
The actor who is in 'The Bodyguard', Richard Madden. I love him so much. Can he go in the villa?
How do you tend to meet dates?
I’ve never used a dating app, that very much scares me. I work in a night club so I’m often approached by people in there. But saying that, they never really appeal to me that much. In that industry, everyone is trying to impress each other.
What’s an immediate turn off for you in a guy?
Someone that takes themselves really seriously. I hate that sort of thing. If I was to say something funny and they took it personally, that’s boring.
How far are you prepared to go in the villa to get the guy you want?
I wouldn’t upset anyone, put it that way. I’m not a Maura. My approach won’t be to really graft someone. I never graft anyone on the outside so I won’t go in there and be any different.
Which of the girls do you think you’ll get on with?
I think Lucie and Maura. All the other girls in my opinion are acting like they don’t talk about sex, but I’m sure when they are at home they are just as bad.
Will you be loyal or do you have a wandering eye? Have you ever cheated/been cheated on? I am absolutely loyal but this is a different environment. I have been cheated on, which is not a nice feeling. I have never cheated. I wouldn’t do that.
What’s your definition of girl code?
My definition of girl code is just being honest with each other. I guess it’s about sticking together as girls.
Belle Hassan
Belle, 21, is a makeup artist from Bromley
What makes you the perfect Love Islander?
I’m fun, I’m funny and I’m flirty. Hopefully I’ll liven things up a bit, I’m looking to make everyone laugh and want to bring a new dynamic to the villa and have some fun.
What are your three best and worst personality traits?
I’m funny, I’m confident and I’m genuine. My worst traits… Have I really got any? I can be insecure at times I suppose and I am messy. When I get ready it looks like an explosion has gone off in my room!
How would you rate your looks on a scale of one to ten and what would you say is your best feature?
I would give myself a solid 8 or 9. I get a lot of compliments on my eyes and my boobs.
Who do you have your eye on in the villa?
Definitely Anton. Tom is good looking too and Tommy is gorgeous.
What’s your idea of the perfect guy?
I don’t have a type so I look for honesty and someone who is funny, genuine and can look after me.
Who is your celebrity crush? I have so many… but my favourite is Alex Bowen, he is very good looking.
How do you tend to meet dates?
I meet people out or through friends or through Instagram. People do slide into my DMs.
What’s been your most disastrous date/dating experience?
I nearly crashed my car on a first date once… I had just passed my test and the guy was supposed to be directing me but he wasn’t doing a very good job, and then I panicked, and nearly crashed I cried in front of him.
What’s an immediate turn off for you in a boy?
A cheat or a liar is an immediate turn off.
How far are you prepared to go in the villa to get the guy you want?
Of course you never want to upset anyone but at the end of the day we’re all there to find someone we want to be with and if there is a connection there, then I will go for it. You have to do what you’ve got to do. Do I worry about treading on toes? I do and I don’t.
Which of the girls do you think you’ll get on with?
I would say Anna definitely, she is funny and has banter with everyone. Initially I didn’t think I’d get on with Amber but now I think we’d get on, we’re similar and are both straight up. All the girls seem lovely so I don’t think I’d have a problem getting on with anyone.
Will you be loyal or do you have a wandering eye? Have you ever cheated/been cheated on?
I have been cheated on so many times so the thought of me cheating is a no. But, it is a different environment in the villa and so you could act a bit out of character because the circumstances are different to your usual life.. I can’t see myself cheating if I really like someone.
What’s your definition of girl code?
Don’t sleep with your mate’s boyfriend. Basically.
What’s your claim to fame?
My dad is an actor, Tamer Hassan. He’s been in The Football Factory, The Business, Game of Thrones - he is my link to the famous world. He is a very supportive dad, he is like my best friend and is always there for me. He’s told me to be myself but has also warned me ‘I’m watching and I’m going to be seeing every detail!’ Because he was in a film with Danny Dyer, I’ve met Dani Dyer when we were kids.
Nabila Badda
Nabila, is 29 and is a hostess from London
What makes you the perfect Love Islander?
I’m exciting, bubbly and I’m feisty enough that if I want something I’ll go for it. Also I’ve got that exotic look that I think the villa is missing. My family are from Morocco and there hasn’t been an Arabian Princess in the villa yet this year! I’ll get on well with the boys and want to meet a guy that I can be best friends with, have a laugh with but also have cuddles in the evening with.
What are your three best and worst personality traits?
My three best are that I’m funny and quick witted, I don’t hold grudges and I get along with everyone - I’m an all rounder! My bad traits are that I’m stubborn, I cut my nose off to spite my face and if I don’t get what I want, I can be childish.
How would you rate your looks on a scale of one to ten and what would you say is your best feature?
With makeup on and when I’m feeling it, I would say I’m an 8. No one is a 10, let’s be real! I like my eyes and I like the fact that I have hips, my hips are really shapely so I like my hourglass figure.
Who do you have your eye on in the villa?
I have got my eye on Anton. I think he is cheeky and I think he’s misunderstood by the girls in the villa. He is my vibe, he’s got a great personality and he is funny and entertaining.
What’s your idea of the perfect guy?
I need to be kept on my toes and need a guy who knows what he wants. He needs to be funny and we need to bounce off each other.
Who is your celebrity crush?
Chris Hemsworth. Those blue eyes! How do you tend to meet dates? I usually get to know someone as a friend first and then it blossoms. I’ve tried dating apps but it’s awkward. I have slid into DMs once, then we saw each other out and about and then started dating. I like the guy to chase me but in that instance, I chased him but I got what I wanted.
What’s been your most disastrous date/dating experience?
I went on a date with a guy and it was just awkward and he was moody the whole time. He was always showing off what he earned to try and impress me and it didn’t work. He wasn’t funny either.
What’s an immediate turn off for you in a guy?
Showing off and if someone speaks about things in a materialistic way. As if a guy’s car or watch is going to make me want them! If I met a millionaire, I’d rather they hid that from me. Also I can’t stand bad footwear. I don’t like old shabby shoes, I think it’s says a lot about you.
How far are you prepared to go in the villa to get the guy you want?
This sounds egotistical but as long as I make it clear I like someone, then I don’t think it’d be that hard to get a guy. I need to make it clear if I find someone attractive and then see if we vibe. I don’t think they are in ‘relationships’ really yet, it’s only been a few weeks so I don’t see treading on toes as a big deal.
Which of the girls do you think you’ll get on with?
They seem like a really nice bunch this year! I think I’ll get along with Maura.
Will you be loyal or do you have a wandering eye? Have you ever cheated/been cheated on?
I am loyal but it is a game show. You get to know so many people in a short space of time so I don’t think there’s anything wrong with finding someone else attractive and giving it a go.
What’s your definition of girl code?
If she has got lipstick on her teeth, tell her.
Jourdan Riane
Jourdan, 24, is a model/actress from Essex
What makes you the perfect Love Islander?
I feel like it’s my bubbly personality. I’m quite go with the flow but I’m also a ‘don’t cross me’ person. I’m all about energy and being positive and having good vibes. My energy and my vibrant personality is what could make me a good Islander.
What are your three best and worst personality traits?
Starting with the worst, I can be impulsive, impatient and stubborn. They’re very rare but I can be all of those. I’m very understanding, something I’ve trained myself to be. I’m very chilled and go with the flow, and I’m a good listener.
How would you rate your looks on a scale of one to ten and what would you say is your best feature?
I would give myself a seven, and I would say my best feature, only based on what I’ve been told, is my eyes. I get told a lot that my eyes say things that I don’t need to say.
Who do you have your eye on in the villa?
In no order, my three would be Michael, Danny and the new Tom. He is beautiful. I also like Jordan.
What’s your idea of the perfect guy?
I would say the three biggest qualities I look for are someone that’s fun and has good banter, someone that is very family orientated and understanding that that is important, and someone that is spontaneous and likes to do random things. I like them keeping it fun and fresh.
Who is your celebrity crush?
The Hemsworth brothers – I can’t pick between the two. They’re both beautiful. But I’m leaning more towards Liam. And the guy playing Aladdin in the new movie – he is unbelievable.
How do you tend to meet dates?
I don’t use any apps. I’m very much a face to face person, or on recommendation. Normally if a friend knows the person.
What’s been your most disastrous date/dating experience?
I went on a date and the guy ended up spilling food on me by accident. We both laughed it off but from that point on he made it really awkward, and it went downhill from there. He kept referencing it. There was definitely not a second date.
What’s an immediate turn off for you in a guy?
Someone that can’t listen to understand but listens just to respond. When you’re trying to explain something and they don’t really hear what you say. They just want to talk back. And also arrogance is a big no no.
How far are you prepared to go in the villa to get the guy you want?
I’m going to have to tread on toes. Initially, it gives me a knot in my stomach but I have to do what I have to do. I’m going in there to meet someone it could work with on the outside. If I have a connection and we get on more than they get on with who they’re with, I have to do it. I’ll never be disrespectful though.
Which of the girls do you think you’ll get on with?
I think Lucie and Maura, I love them both.
Will you be loyal or do you have a wandering eye? Have you ever cheated/been cheated on?
I tend to not have a wandering eye. I’m very much a loyal person. I’ve been cheated on before so I avoid that. But if me and the person mutually discuss that it’s not necessarily the right vibe, in that situation we would have to look elsewhere.
What’s your definition of girl code?
Respect and honesty. Not that you can’t step on their toes, but you communicate that you have an interest in the guy they are coupled up with. Being a girls’ girl. Being there, being supportive, being honest, even if you have to tell them they are wrong.
What’s your claim to fame?
It’s probably my modelling. I did a double page spread for Elle last year, and I did Vogue Italia.
Lavena Back
Lavena, 23, is a business developer from Croydon
What makes you the perfect Love Islander?
I’m confident and I’m ready for love. I’ve been on my own for four years so whoever I meet in there I will fall for. I needed a while to get over my last relationship and really enjoy myself before I could commit to someone. But now I’m very much ready.
What are your three best and worst personality traits?
I’d say I’m funny and always up for a laugh, I’m confident and I have a lot of good chat. People say that if I’m upset I keep it to myself too much, and then I end up ghosting people. But you can’t ghost people on the island.
How would you rate your looks on a scale of one to ten and what would you say is your best feature?
I’m a five times two out of ten. My best feature is my smile.
Who do you have your eye on in the villa?
I like Tom, Danny and Anton. If I had my pick, I’d probably go for Michael but I feel like he’s really coupled up. But Anton seems very funny so we would bounce off each other.
What’s your idea of the perfect guy?
Someone very attentive and caring, committed and basically very loyal. That’s my perfect guy.
Who is your celebrity crush?
Jack Fowler from the last series.
How do you tend to meet dates?
It’s pretty much a face to face thing. I’m so anti dates. If I meet someone, they have to be amazing for me to go on a date with them. I’m quite flaky so if I’m asked to go on a date, I’ll say yes and then make an excuse. If I’m not 100% into it I won’t go on the date.
What’s an immediate turn off for you in a guy?
An immediate turn off is if he talks to other girls, that really turns me off.
How far are you prepared to go in the villa to get the guy you want?
I don’t really care. I’m there to find love. As everyone says it’s not Friend Island. I’m not afraid to say it how it is.
Which of the girls do you think you’ll get on with?
I think I’ll get on with Molly-Mae. She’s chilled and fun. I’d say maybe Amber is my biggest competition. We have a similar look
Will you be loyal or do you have a wandering eye? Have you ever cheated/been cheated on?
I’m loyal but if I wasn’t feeling it I would definitely say. I wouldn’t hold back in that sense. You are there for that reason so there’s no point holding onto someone you are not feeling. I can’t stand cheating. I have been cheated on several times.
What’s your definition of girl code?
There are different levels of girl code. It depends how long you’ve been friends. If I’ve just gone in and said hi to the girls, girl code doesn’t exist. It’s like level one girl code. If it’s a friend I’ll have a conversation before approaching the guy, but in the villa I wouldn’t as I don’t owe it to them.
What’s your claim to fame?
I’ve done some music videos and photo shoots as an aside to what I do for a job.
Joanna Chimonides
Joanna, 22, is a recruitment consultant from London
What makes you the perfect Love Islander?
My honesty. I’m overly honest but sometimes it gets me in trouble. I like to say things as they are, there’s no game playing with me.
What are your three best and worst personality traits?
My three best personality traits are that I’m empathetic, I’m very bubbly so people feel comfortable around me and I’m intriguing. I look like the type to be stuck up but actually I’m nice! My worst personality traits are that I’m impulsive - I act on emotions when I should take a step back and think instead of reacting straight away. My honesty can also be a downfall, I’m far too honest and sometimes I should keep my mouth shut.
How would you rate your looks on a scale of one to ten and what would you say is your best feature?
I’d say I’m a 7 out of 10. My best feature is my nose, I’ve got a cute button nose and everyone compliments me on it.
Who do you have your eye on in the villa?
Anton and Tom. With Anton I find his personality so attractive and he’s got banter, so I think we’d connect. Tom is my type and what I usually go for looks-wise so I’m hoping his personality matches his good looks.
What’s your idea of the perfect guy?
The perfect guy to me is someone who will give their all in a relationship and someone who has got a bit of banter and who is selfless.
Who is your celebrity crush?
My celebrity crush is a combination of Channing Tatum and Chris Brown - put the two together and you’ve got the perfect man.
How do you tend to meet dates?
I like to meet people face-to-face. When someone is behind a screen or on an app they can fake who they are but by meeting them in person, you can suss out who they are.
What’s been your most disastrous date/dating experience?
I don’t really tend to go on many dates but the most embarrassing thing that happened to me was on my first date with my ex. When he picked me up I couldn’t open the car door because it opened upwards rather than outwards!
What’s an immediate turn off for you in a guy?
If someone comes across as self-obsessed that’s a real turn off for me.
How far are you prepared to go in the villa to get the guy you want?
If I get on with someone who is in a couple better than they get on with the person they are coupled up with, then there must be something in that. At the end of the day we are all in the villa for the same reason - to meet someone - so some times you might have to tread on toes but the same thing happens outside of the villa sometimes too.
Which of the girls do you think you’ll get on with?
I reckon I’ll get on with Molly-Mae because we’re both young, fun and bubbly. I can see that she stands up for what she believes in, like me. I think I’ll get on with Amber too because we are both straight up.
Will you be loyal or do you have a wandering eye? Have you ever cheated/been cheated on?
I have been cheated on in my first ever relationship so I’d never ever do that to someone because it’s an awful feeling. A wandering eye? Everyone likes a bit of eye candy and if you get to know a person and get on with them better than who you are with then maybe it’s meant to be - a wandering eye can be good in a selfish way.
What’s your definition of girl code?
Girl code is simply being honest to a girl’s face. If a girl is coupled up with someone and you want to get to know that person, then girl code for me is explaining exactly how you’re feeling to the other girl - it’s honesty and face to face.
BOYS
Marvin Brooks
Marvin, 29, is a personal trainer and ex royal navy officer from Bournemouth
What makes you the perfect Love Islander?
I am strongly opinionated and very competitive. I’ve always been good at sports and without sounding big headed I’ve always done OK with the opposite sex, so coming up against the other good looking lads will definitely test me.
What are your three best and worst personality traits?
I am very ambitious, I look after myself and I’m always very honest, even if that might be controversial. I speak my mind, but that can upset people sometimes. I am very quick to judge, and sometimes do that too quickly. I’m not very empathetic either.
How would you rate your looks on a scale of one to ten and what would you say is your best feature?
I would say I’m a 8.7 depending on whether I’ve got a tan. I’d probably say I get most compliments on my body.
Who do you have your eye on in the villa?
It’s changed a few times because of how people have reacted to things. My type I’ve always said is brunette. Anna has definitely caught my eye but then recently Lucie has as I feel like she’s very similar to me in the sense that if she doesn’t want to hang around with a group she won’t force herself to do, which I’ve admired. I have also only seen a brief bit of Arabella but definitely her!
What’s your idea of the perfect girl?
I would say ambitious, cultured and loyal. I’ve had some bad experiences in the past so definitely that.
Who is your celebrity crush?
Jessica Alba is probably the one.
How do you tend to meet dates?
A mixture of everything really. I don’t particularly act on dating apps even though I get a fair bit of attention there. It’s usually a lot of pointless conversation. Most of it is through direct messaging.
What’s an immediate turn off for you in a girl?
Acting stupid and playing the fool.
How far are you prepared to go in the villa to get the girl you want?
I am competitive so if I feel like I need to do what I need to do to find someone then I will. I’ve spent the last ten to twelve years trying to find someone I am smitten with so I’m sure six weeks will be no problem.
Which of the guys do you think you’ll get on with?
I like Michael – he’s a really relaxed guy, not too big headed. Also Tommy seems very genuine. Danny might be a bit boring and Curtis irritates me.
Will you be loyal or do you have a wandering eye? Have you ever cheated/been cheated on?
I definitely have a wandering eye but if I have that it’s the main indicator that I’m not with the one. I’ve had a wandering eye in the past but it’s only because I’ve known that I’ve not been fully happy. I can have my head spun, that’s one of my negatives. I’ve both cheated and been cheated on – I would like to think that’s behind me, I’m a little bit older. That’s a phase I’ve come out of.
What’s your definition of bro code?
The definition for me is that all is fair in love and war, but also to basically give a heads up. It’s difficult because I probably wouldn’t follow that if I felt like it gave me a disadvantage. I’m quite selfish and if I feel like I can get someone that I want, even if it hurts another guy, I will go for it. There is a code but whether I abide by it I’m not sure. I’m there and one reason.
What’s your claim to fame?
I’m Harry Redknapp’s personal trainer.
Dennon Lewis
Dennon, 22, is a professional footballer from Watford
What makes you the perfect Love Islander?
I’d say that I’m funny, energetic, I’m very positive and I have decent banter. That’s what you need in the villa.
What are your three best and worst personality traits?
I’m quite pointed and I’ve got decent banter. I do have a short temper at times, I’m not great in the mornings, and I get annoyed with people that have bad hygiene.
How would you rate your looks on a scale of one to ten and what would you say is your best feature?
I’d give myself an 8 out of ten. I don’t think I’m bad looking at all. My best feature is probably my face, because that’s the thing that people look at first.
Who do you have your eye on in the villa?
I have my eye on quite a few of them - Lucie’s very nice. I do like how Maura is turning out to be. She’s really feisty and could be a handful.
What’s your idea of the perfect girl?
She’s got to have some personality. I want someone that I can have a laugh with, bounce off and throw banter at each other.
Who is your celebrity crush?
I think Margot Robbie - she’s unreal.
How do you tend to meet dates?
I’m quite social and I don’t really use dating apps. It’s usually on a night out or Instagram or social media.
What’s been your most disastrous date/dating experience?
I’ve not really had any bad dates.
What’s an immediate turn off for you in a girl?
If I’m talking to someone and they’re close up and they have bad breath. I’d probably then style it out. I’m not a rude person so I probably wouldn’t tell them.
How far are you prepared to go in the villa to get the girl you want?
A million percent. I’m not going to hold back. We’re all in there for the same reason. That won’t stop me pursuing something.
Which of the guys do you think you’ll get on with?
Michael and Anton, who have really good banter. Michael seems very level headed so I think we’ll get on well. Tommy’s probably the biggest competition. Everyone loves him, he’s a good guy.
Will you be loyal or do you have a wandering eye? Have you ever cheated/been cheated on?
In the past I’ve had a wandering eye but it depends on the girl. If I’m really into them and there’s the instant butterfly you get in your stomach. I’ve cheated in the past but I was seeing someone exclusively, not technically in a relationship. If I’m not fully, fully, instantly attracted and we’re just getting to know each other, my eyes will wonder.
What’s your definition of bro code?
To be honest I don’t really know any of the boys in there. If I knew them as friends, I wouldn’t pursue people but I don’t know them so I have no loyalties.
What’s your claim to fame?
My job. Most definitely, 100% I’ll want to go back to playing football after I leave the villa.
George Rains
George, 22, is a builder from Essex
What makes you the perfect Love Islander?
I’m chilled out, funny and I’ve got a lot of positive energy to bring. The last few months I’ve been staying in, saving up, working out and being boring so I’m looking for a bit of excitement.
What are your three best and worst personality traits?
My three best are that I’ve got a positive energy and mindset, I’m outgoing and I’m a good laugh. A bad trait is I’m really moody when I’m hungry...
How would you rate your looks on a scale of one to ten and what would you say is your best feature?
I’m a solid 7.5 - people compliment me on my jawline. Who do you have your eye on in the villa? Amber and Anna - Amber is my type, they are the sort of girls I’d go for looks-wise and Anna is really pretty and she’s got a nice body.
What’s your idea of the perfect girl?
I want someone who is a match to me - someone positive and outgoing and someone I can connect with.
Who is your celebrity crush?
Kim Kardashian, definitely. I also really fancy Samira Mighty and Nicole Scherzinger.
How do you tend to meet dates?
I’ve not been on the dating scene for the past six months but before my health kick, I’d meet girls on nights out. I was never meeting the right girls, they were always bad news, so it’s exciting to come to Love Island to meet someone - I’m hoping I’ll have better luck meeting them in a different environment to a nightclub!
What’s been your most disastrous date/dating experience?
A couple of times in the past I’ve definitely been catfished - but so has everyone right?
What’s an immediate turn off for you in a girl?
Someone who is stuck up and negative.
How far are you prepared to go in the villa to get the girl you want?
If I see the girl I want and we have that connection, I’m going to go for it, I don’t have any loyalty to anyone in there at the moment. It’ll be difficult but I’m sure if the guys were in the same position as me they’d be doing the same.
Which of the guys do you think you’ll get on with?
I like Tommy and Anton, they seem like they’re into their fitness too so I hope we’ll have a connection there.
Will you be loyal or do you have a wandering eye? Have you ever cheated/been cheated on?
I’ve never had a wandering eye when I’ve been with people before and I’ve never cheated.
What’s your definition of bro code?
Bro code is having a strong bond with your boys, and not doing anything to them that’s going to have a negative outcome on them.
Dan Rose
Dan, 21, is a bathroom salesman from Nuneaton
What makes you the perfect Love Islander?
I’m a cheeky lad, I’m confident and I reckon I’ve got the gift of the gab.
What are your three best and worst personality traits?
Good traits are that I’m funny, I’m chatty and talkative. I’m confident, possibly too confident at times… so that could be a good or a bad thing. Bad traits are that I always think I’m right, I’m never wrong. I like to get my own way and I don’t like to be proven wrong.
How would you rate your looks on a scale of one to ten and what would you say is your best feature?
I would say 10 but… I should be modest so I’ll say 9. I think I’m good looking, I get told I am anyway. Who do you have your eye on in the villa? I do fancy Amber but I know she seems loved up with Michael. I’ll test the water with it though. Then I’ll probably go for Lucie and Maura.
What’s your idea of the perfect girl?
My perfect girl is someone I can have a laugh with, someone who is easy going and someone I have a good connection with. Plus, I like someone who is chatty
Who is your celebrity crush?
I really fancy Ellie Brown from last year’s series.
How do you tend to meet dates?
I don’t go on that many dates, I don’t tend to DM people, I normally meet people out. I just can’t be bothered with sliding into people’s DMs, if I’m honest. I’d rather meet someone on a night out.
What’s an immediate turn off for you in a girl?
I like someone who can back themselves so I wouldn’t go for a push over. And someone that’s too loud would put me off. I like confidence but not in a way that the attention always has to be on them.
How far are you prepared to go in the villa to get the girl you want?
I’m not bothered about treading on any toes, I’ll test the water and speak to all of the girls.
Which of the guys do you think you’ll get on with?
I think Tommy is very much like me, I’m a bit of an idiot too. Anton seems a bit of a clown as well so I think we’d get on.
Will you be loyal or do you have a wandering eye?
Have you ever cheated/been cheated on? If I like someone, I won’t wander. But if I’m coupled up with someone and feel I have a better connection with someone else, it’d be stupid not to pursue it. There is no point settling if you think there is something better.
What’s your definition of bro code?
If I’m mates with someone, I’ll back them. Although I don’t know what it’s like in the villa… I feel like it might be different in there as everything is a little bit more intense.
Ovie Soko
Ovie, 28, is a pro basketball player from London
What makes you the perfect Love Islander?
I’m a fun person, I demand attention without having to say too much and I’m laid back so feel like I’ll balance some of the personalities in the villa. I feel like I’m a wildcard.
What are your three best and worst personality traits?
I adapt very well to everything - I left home at 16 to chase my dreams as a basketball player and since then have lived in six different countries and come across different people and cultures. Also, I’m laidback and I don’t take myself too seriously. My less attractive traits are that I like things the way I like them, I’m opinionated - if I have an opinion I’ll say my piece. I’m a straight shooter who is honest and have been told sometimes that I can be too honest. Plus I’m a competitor, it comes with my job, it’s built into my DNA.
How would you rate your looks on a scale of one to ten and what would you say is your best feature?
I feel like I’m an 8 but an international 8, some people call themselves a 10 but you can be a 10 in one place and go to the opposite side of the world and be a 4. Wherever I go around the world, I think I can be an 8. My best feature is my personality, I am just a vibe and people like being around my energy.
Who do you have your eye on in the villa?
They are all gorgeous girls but Anna, I’ve been watching her from the beginning and she has consistently has been on my radar.
What’s your idea of the perfect girl?
Someone who can be themselves around me.
Who is your celebrity crush?
Meghan Markle! She is stunning, I like her. Also, I like Rihanna, she is a fiery one. They both have their own qualities that I’m attracted to.
How do you tend to meet dates?
Because I’m a basketball player, my schedule is strict with regards to time so girls tend to creep in my DMs at times. I have crept into the DMs before. I rarely meet people at the club but maybe at a bar, in a more calm environment where you can still have a conversation because that’s something as I’m getting older and growing up that I’m valuing much more. I see having a mental connection as very attractive.
What’s been your most disastrous date/dating experience?
I went on holiday a few summers ago to Vegas, it got a bit out of hand and the credit card came out. When I got back to the UK, I took a girl out who I’d known since primary school and had always fancied. We went to play Mini Golf and trying to be a gentleman, I offered to pay. Except my card got declined. Vegas obviously got too crazy and I maybe took an extra spin that I shouldn’t have on the tables! She was cool about it and I did end up managing to sort it out and I didn’t make her pay on the first date - it was just one of those cringey moments! Inside I tensed up but I took it on the chin.
What’s an immediate turn off for you in a girl?
I feel like when a lady is not humble and when they are a bit too full of themselves.
How far are you prepared to go in the villa to get the girl you want?
Treading on toes? Is there any such thing in Love Island? People are going to be put in tough spots on this show. I’m not worried, I’m not going to be disrespectful, I’m confident I bring enough to the table.
Which of the guys do you think you’ll get on with?
They all seem like sound guys, they seem like cool people. I’m competitive but I’m in the locker room with 14 other big egos on a high level sports team and we all get along just fine, so I think I’ll be okay.
Will you be loyal or do you have a wandering eye? Have you ever cheated/been cheated on?
I’m not going to go in there and say I like a girl with the intention to turn away at the first opportunity but I’ll be honest, if someone else comes in and there is a higher level of mental connection - which I think is what will do it for me - there is a possibility that I could have a wandering eye.
What’s your definition of bro code?
Bro code is if the guys have told you something in confidence and it could cause a rift, to you to keep it to yourself, you shouldn’t go spreading it, that’s not cool.
What’s your claim to fame?
I play basketball for Great Britain. Also I went to school with Alexandra Cane.
Stevie Bradley

What makes you the perfect Love Islander?
I am a cheerful, happy, charming, funny bloke. I don’t take myself too seriously, I’m chilled and try to get on with everyone.
What are your three best and worst personality traits?
I’m charming, friendly and laid back. In terms of bad traits, I’m very disorganised, I’ve got no filter and I’m an overthinker.
How would you rate your looks on a scale of one to ten and what would you say is your best feature?
I’d say I was an 8 and my best feature is my blue eyes.
Who do you have your eye on in the villa?
Lucie seems really sweet and down to earth. Arabella is beautiful, I couldn’t believe my eyes when she walked through the villa. Maura is also stunning. But Lucie would be my number one.
What’s your idea of the perfect girl?
Someone who doesn’t take themselves too seriously and is up for a good laugh. I want someone to go on dates with and have a good time with.
Who is your celebrity crush?
Lucy Watson from Made in Chelsea, I think she is really nice.
How do you tend to meet dates?
I have dabbled with dating apps in the past like Tinder but it just seems that you are swiping for dear life. It’s mainly Instagram that I use now to get dates and I’ve not been on very many!
What’s been your most disastrous date/dating experience?
I went on a date with a girl from Uni, we ended up going out afterwards and she asked me if I could remember her name and I didn’t have a clue. Not one of my finest moments.
What’s an immediate turn off for you in a girl?
Anyone who is grumpy.
How far are you prepared to go in the villa to get the girl you want?
I want to keep everyone happy but again it is Love Island so you can’t tread on eggshells around people, you need to get what you want so I’ll do whatever it takes within reason.
Which of the guys do you think you’ll get on with?
I reckon Michael and Curtis.
Will you be loyal or do you have a wandering eye? Have you ever cheated/been cheated on?
I probably would have a wandering eye in the villa but my head wouldn’t turn from someone I felt I had a proper spark with, I wouldn’t ruin anything by jumping ship.
What’s your definition of bro code?
Not trying to graft on their partner.
