Surprising just about nobody, 'Late Late Toy Show' topped the figures of 2019 with a whopping 1.54 million viewers.

Figures released by TAM / Nielsen today confirmed what most in the industry already knew - namely, that the Toy Show is a live TV behemoth and regularly tops these lists, year in and year out. In the second and third spot on the list was the All-Ireland Football Final against Kerry and Dublin and its replay, while the 6 Nations match between Ireland and England took fourth place. Meanwhile, the All-Ireland Hurling Final came in fifth with 829,500 viewers.

'I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here' was the highest-rated TV show outside of sporting events, racking up 724,000 viewers, while 'Room To Improve' snagged 687,000 viewers on its run. As for scripted TV series, 'The Young Offenders' was the highest-rated with 487,400 viewers, while 'Coronation Street' racked up 459,000 viewers, narrowly beating 'Fair City' and its 453,400 viewers.

TAM's figures also that the average Irish adult is watching live TV for two hours and fifty-five minutes per day, with 85% of daily viewing as live with the rest made up of catch-up.
