It could be that we've all been through a lot this year.

It could simply be that advertising creators know this feeling too, and are using it to create tearjerking ads that tap into our sentimentality around this time of year. Whatever the case may be, between this and the SuperValu advert, it's become particularly noticeable this year just how emotional we're all getting.

Maybe that's a good thing, though? Nothing wrong with expressing emotions in a healthy way, and there's nothing more cleansing than a good cry. Listen, we cried once over a videogame trailer so we're hardly able to excuse ourselves of it. (It was this one, btw, no idea why)

Anyway, this year has seen 'The Late Late Toy Show' get in on the emotional Christmas advert game with this little piece, showing a young girl in lockdown with her father who's missing her friends - all of which spurs her father on to build a little cinema for her in a field.

It's got it all - the soft violins, the gentle snow, the awareness of the current environment a lot of us find ourselves in - and it's enough to get you all misty-eyed about your own 'Toy Show' memories.

Take a look. This year's 'Late Late Toy Show' goes out on November 27th.
