According to reports, 'Killing Eve' will come to an end after four seasons at the BBC.

Alas, 'Killing Eve' season four will be the last we'll see of Villanelle and Eve going head-to-head across Europe. Variety reports that the BBC series will end once production on the fourth season has wrapped.

However, it might not all be bad news. Series producers AMC Networks and Sid Gentle Films Ltd are rumoured to be developing potential spin-off series based on the drama/comedy/thriller. Expect to hear more details about these once season four airs.

Both Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer have commented on the future ending to the series. Oh said: "'Killing Eve' has been one of my greatest experiences and I look forward to diving back into Eve’s remarkable mind soon.

"I’m so grateful for all cast and crew who have brought our story to life and to the fans who have joined us and will be back for our exciting and unpredictable fourth and final season."

While Comer commented: "'Killing Eve’ has been the most extraordinary journey and one that I will be forever grateful for.

"Thank you to all the fans who’ve supported us throughout and come along for the ride. Although all good things come to an end, it’s not over yet. We aim to make this one to remember!"

'Killing Eve' season four production was delayed last year due to you know what. Production is expected to get underway this summer. Similar to previous seasons, filming will take place in the UK and across Europe, and will be made up of eight episodes. Due to delays, 'Killing Eve' season four will probably arrive in early 2022.

The spy thriller has received critical acclaim since season one first aired on screen in 2018. Collectively, the first three seasons has secured 19 Emmy nominations.
