Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger!
A throwback from the '90s graced our screens during last night's 74th Emmy Awards in Los Angeles as host Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell reunited for a moment of brief nostalgia.
While chatting with 'Eternals' star Kumail Nanjiani at the bar, Thompson then walked to a man further down the bar and asked if he could get him "a drink or something?"
The mysterious patron (who could it be?!) said: "You know what... can I get a Good Burger?" revealing himself to be none other than Kenan's co-star from the comedy duo's hit '90s sitcom.
The pair posted a joint Instagram post at the event's afterparty last night, writing: "My brotha!!"
Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell first collaborated as teens in Nickelodeon's 'All That', a comedy sketch series which later led to them leaving the series and starting their own sitcom, 'Kenan & Kel'. 'Good Burger' was one of the main sketches in the Nick series, which spawned a film of the same name hitting theatres in 1997. Although it was a commercial success, the film received pretty negative reviews but it has a cult following from '90s sitcom fans.
With Kenan and Kel once again being reunited, and pretty publicly at that, it seems likely that a follow-up to 'Good Burger' is actually on the way. Kenan said during a recent appearance on 'The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon' that he'd like to do a sequel and that they "are working harder on it than ever".
