'The White Lotus', 'Ted Lasso', 'Succession' and 'Squid Game' won big during the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards show.
This year's list of winners from the Emmy Awards was mostly to be expected, with very few surprise winners thrown into the mix. The three-hour event saw the cream of the telly crop head down to Los Angeles in all of their finery with HBO, Disney+, Netflix and Apple TV the frontrunners in terms of nominations.
The big winner on the night was HBO's first season of 'The White Lotus', picking up five awards including Outstanding Limited Series and the Supporting Actor and Actress awards for Murray Bartlett and Jennifer Coolidge. HBO's third season of 'Succession' picked up three awards including Outstanding Drama Series, while 'Squid Game' star Lee Jung-jae won Best Actor in a Drama. New comedy series 'Abbott Elementary' also won two awards - Sheryl Lee Ralph for Supporting Actress and her co-star Quinta Brunson for Outstanding Writing.
Jean Smart won her second consecutive Emmy for the comedy series 'Hacks', while Jason Sudeikis also won his second consecutive Emmy for 'Ted Lasso'.
