The people are real, the cases are real, this story is real.

Many of us will know Judge Judy from, well, Judge Judy - the long-running, real-life courtroom series that sees a septuagenarian dispense brutal putdowns and swift justice on people who dare to speak out of turn in front of her. The show, which has now become a pop culture sensation, nets the formidable judge a whopping $47,000,000 annually.

However, that's not enough apparently for Judy, who's now signed a deal with CBS to develop a scripted television series based on her life and career, according to Variety. Sheindlin will co-write the opening episode with Michael Chernuchin, who previously served as a showrunner on Law & Order and has previously worked on Rogue, 24 and Black Sails.

The best part? The show will be called Her Honor. CHRIST, WE ARE SO READY FOR THIS SHOW.
