You'll remember them best as Chris from Skins and the Huntsman from Once Upon A Time, but now Game of Thrones star Joe Dempsie and The Fall's Jamie Dornan are teaming up for a brand new TV series on Channel 4.

The boys have just joined the cast of New Worlds, a lush period drama set during the Restoration period in the 1680s. The four part miniseries will tell the tales of four young people on both sides of the Atlantic as they, and we quote, "commit their lives to a fairer future with blood, passion and urgency". Alice Englert (star of Beautiful Creatures) and The White Queen's Freya Mavor (who is also a Skins alum, but we don't talk about that generation) complete the foursome.

The show follows on from The Devil's Whore (which starred Andrea Riseborough and Dominic West) and rejoins Angelica (Eve Best) as she attempts to keep her daughter Beth (Mavor) safe while the country is on the brink of chaos. Now, if previous miniseries are anything to go by, we're guessing that the above passion and urgency essentially equates to getting your kit off and engaging in a spot of rumpy pumpy. We could be wrong, but sure isn't that what they do in all the period dramas? Except Downton Abbey of course. Lady Mary's all about those immaculate conceptions.

The gang will start filming in the UK this month and the series is expected to air in 2014.
