In something that Johnny Carson, and occassionally, David Letterman used to do, Jimmy Kimmel will have guest hosts fill in for him while his son has some scheduled surgery.
Jennifer Lawrence, Channing Tatum, Shaquille O’Neal and Dave Grohl will step into the hosting shoes for a night each starting tonight.
"As a precautionary measure, the scheduled second heart surgery for Jimmy Kimmel’s son Billy had to be postponed this week due to the common cold," said a show rep. "Jimmy is very grateful to Shaquille O’Neal, Dave Grohl, Channing Tatum and Jennifer Lawrence for filling his very small shoes as guest host this week while he, his wife and children sneeze on each other."
Previously Kimmel has had pals step in while he was off instead of taking a hiatus - Kristen Bell in partticular proving she had a future in a Late Night chair if she ever decided she wanted one.
