A documentary based on the life and career of Janet Jackson is coming your way.

Janet Jackson revealed the news of the doc on her Instagram profile, where she shared a teaser for the movie.

'Janet' premieres in January 2022.

Its release coalesces with the 40th anniversary of the musician’s first album.

In the voiceover of the trailer, we hear the singer say: "This is my story told by me, not through someone else’s eyes."

Such friends and fellow celebs as Paula Abdul and Mariah Carey can be seen speaking about Janet Jackson in the teaser.

There are also clips of the late Michael Jackson, while Tito Jackson notes: "She will always be my baby sister."

'Janet' was more than five years in the making. It is four hours long and will air over two nights.

The doc tracks the Jackson family as they cope with grief from the loss of their father, Joseph, who passed away in 2018.
