He may be jetting into town for the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival later this week, but Danny DeVito's Irish fans don't have to wait that long to see a little more of their favourite star. Yup, Netflix UK and Ireland have just added Season 8 of his hit US comedy, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, to their online catalogue.
The series tells the tale of five friends who own and operate Paddy's Irish Pub in Philadelphia. I suppose you could say it's a bit like Cheers, except in an Irish bar and without Ted Danson. Who doesn't love a bit of Ted Danson? Anyway. the gang are always getting up to mischief and while they usually end up in trouble. it never puts them off!
Mac (Rob McElhenney), Dennis (Glenn Howerton), Charlie (Charlie Day), Sweet Dee (Kaitlin Olson) and Frank (Danny DeVito) take things to the next level in Season 8, heading off to hunt for Nazi treasure, going to therapy sessions and attempting to undermine Philadelphia's trash men! There's love in the air for two of 'em, a new start in business for another and a bit of addictive gaming thrown in for good measure!
And If you haven't been keeping up with the show don't worry - Netflix have Seasons 1-7 up there for you too!
