Oooh! How exciting! Our pals (and online partners) over at JDiff have just announced the welcome news that celebrated actor, producer and director Danny DeVito will be coming to Dublin next year to attend a special tribute at the 2013 Jameson Dublin International Film Festival, which takes place from the 14th - 24th February 2013.

Not that someone like DeVito needs much of an introduction, it's worth pointing out that among his best roles was his turn as Louie De Palma in the hit TV show Taxi. Also highly praised are his roles in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Batman Returns and his directorial classics The War of the Roses, Throw Momma from the Train and one of my childhood favourites - Matilda. Currently, DeVito is starring in FX series, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. And who could forget his brief appearance as a dancing stripper in Friends? Funny fellow, I think you'll all agree.
