Channel 4's award-winning series from earlier this year is getting a reunion special on the broadcasters' well-known baking show.

It's the crossover we've all been waiting for - 'It's A Sin' x 'The Great British Bake Off'.

Entitled 'The Great Christmas Bake Off', the stars will be swapping their Pink Palace surroundings for a stressful competition. Olly Alexander, Lydia West, Nathaniel Curtis and Shaun Dooley will all be whipping up a storm inside the 'Bake Off' tent, hoping that their festive-themed treats will be enough to see them crowned Star Baker of the week.

Russell T. Davies' creation 'It's A Sin' premiered on Channel 4 in January to significant praise from both critics and viewers alike and went on to win two Welsh BAFTA awards as well as a National Television Award. The five-episode series followed a group of 20-somethings in London during the AIDS epidemic between the years 1981 and 1991.

We described the drama as a "timeless" piece of television that "is able to show to the world how far we've come". While Davies won't be making a second season, it's humbling to see that we'll at least be getting a festive reunion of the four actors baking some Christmas puddings.

And that's not all of the Christmas cheer that Channel 4 has announced today. As well as the 'It's A Sin' Christmas 'Bake Off', there will also be 'The Great British Festive Bake Off' this year too.

The festive edition will see four former bakers return to the dreaded tent to go head to head in three seasonal challenges. We'll get to see the return of series nine bakers Kim-Joy and Jon (who placed second and sixth), as well as series 11’s Hermine and Rowan (who placed fourth and tenth in their series).

'The Great Christmas Bake Off' and 'The Great Festive Bake Off' will be on Channel 4 during the Christmas period, with dates and times yet to be confirmed.
