We're not going to lie. The below information was sent in as part of a blatant plug from SKY Ireland to cajole folk into geting SKY digital before 'National Switchover Week' next month. Hey, it's better than being told that Saorview is your only option…

Graham Norton was the universal top choice amongst both male and female respondents, although perhaps unsurprisingly Jeff Stelling from Soccer Saturday was the second most popular TV personality amongst Irish men.

And when it comes to TV shows that people would like to see remade, action hero Macgyver was the top choice, followed by The A-Team, Little House on the Prairie, Knightrider, and M.A.S.H. And why does everyone keep forgetting about ALF?

Worryingly 11% of those said they weren’t aware they have to switch, or claim they don’t know how to do it. If you're one of those 11% (which I doubt you are, 'cause you're on the internet) - Saorview is not your only option. There's SKY, UPC, the internet, other set top boxes…
