Husband-and-wife team James and Aileen McCauley from Dublin are set to feature on 'Dragons' Den' on BBC One later this week.

Another Irish business is set to take on the dragons, with an award-winning invention called The Wriggler set to debut on the reality series.

James and Aileen McCauley from Dublin have created a product that will help all of those parents out there who need an extra bit of help. The Wriggler is an anti-roll portable baby-changing mat, which is made for those little ones who won't keep still no matter how many of you try and stop them from wriggling around while getting their nappy changed.

Inspired by their own personal experience with their little boy, the couple aim to get investment from at least one of the dragons for a stake in their expanding company. The schoolteacher and educational psychologist are aiming to develop more products to go alongside The Wriggler.

However, they'll have to impress the UK Dragons before their goal can be achieved. The five dragons standing in their way are Sara Davies, Touker Suleyman, Deborah Meaden, Peter Jones and Tej Lalvani.

The couple had this to say about their appearance on the series: "In our wildest dreams we never imagined that an idea dreamt up at our kitchen table could have resulted in us appearing on BBC TV on 'Dragons’ Den'.

"Naturally we were nervous about appearing before the Dragons, however, we were determined not to let our nerves get the better of us. We know we have a fantastic product and it could be a massive opportunity to bring the Wriggler to an even bigger market with the support and guidance from a Dragon."

Back in April, another Irish entrepreneur, Sharon Keegan, managed to secure a £100,000 (€115,137) investment on the show for her Peachylean sportswear business.

Catch James and Aileen McCauley on the next episode of 'Dragons' Den', which will air on Thursday, June 3 at 8pm on BBC One.
