Sad news this morning for 'Sons of Anarchy' fans as it's been reported that Irish actor Alan O'Neill, who played Hugh on the show, has died.
According to TMZ - who claim that O'Neill was a heavy smoker with a history of alcohol and drug abuse, as well as heart problems - his body was found by his girlfriend on Wednesday night in the hallway of her apartment. Reports suggest that no foul play was suspected. He was 47.
O'Neill had previously starred as mechanic Keith McGrath in 'Fair City' from 2006 - 2012, as well as British TV series 'Inspector George Gently'. He moved to Los Angeles in 2014 and his Twitter bio described him as "Actor, Beatles and Stones fan. Irish and proud of it."
Fans, friends and colleagues have been paying tribute to him on social media, some of which you can see below.

Poor Alan O'Neill. I had a awful soft spot for his loveable idiot, the mechanic Keith in Fair City. RIP.

I know this is a parody account but would like to pay tribute to Alan O'Neill aka Keith in #faircity, he was part of one of my favourite Carrigstown power couples with Una, and had a great bromance with Ray, so sad to see him pass away so young, thoughts are with his loved ones
