At what point will Grey's Anatomy finish up? Or is it going to be something along the lines of Coronation Street? Will it run forever?

Who knows. What is known is that ABC have re-upped the medical drama for its 15th season, making it the longest-running prime time drama series in the history of the television studio.

Speaking the announcement, ABC head honcho Channing Dungey explained that "(thanks) to fiercely loyal fans who have been on this journey since the beginning, and new generations of viewers who continue to discover the joy and drama of Grey Sloan Memorial, the show is as strong as ever."

The show recently cut two of its cast out from the upcoming season, which itself drew some ire from their fellow castmembers and fans alike. On top of that, Ellen Pompeo spoke recently on how Patrick Dempsey was used against her in salary negotiations, particularly as she's been on the show since the very beginning.

So, really, you have to wonder how it's all still going - especially seeing as how Shonda Rimes, the series creator / showrunner, has left ABC to join Netflix in a major development deal. Will it last beyond the fifteenth season? Do you even want it to?
