The network has confirmed that it is indeed in the mood for a How I Met Your Dad pilot from HIMYM creator Carter Bays, dubbing the project a 'kindred spirit' to the seemingly never-ending original.
Now lads we can see what you're trying to do here, but we're guessing very few people think it's a good idea. Not even in theory. And if the kids from HIMYM are anything to go by, they'll probably only get about one season out of it before everyone's thoroughly bored with listening to the same story all over again.
