Well, it's not often you get to put THAT in a headline, but it is true, a real honest-to-God Hollywood star will be joining Brendan on his show this weekend. We can only assume this star took a wrong turn in Tinsel Town and found himself in the RTE canteen somehow.

The Golden Globe winning actor Idris Elba is the star in question here. Elba took the world by storm last year for his stellar performance as Nelson Mandela in 'Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom', and while he was snubbed for an Oscar nomination this year, there's no doubt this actor will feature on many an awards nominee list for years to come.

The British actor has been knocking around a while before his Mandela performance though, you may also know him as Russell "Stringer" Bell in the HBO series The Wire, as well as Detective John Luther in the BBC One series Luther, a role which bagged him a Golden Globe in 2011. The star has also been rumoured for many a year now to be the first black James Bond, but nothing set in stone there at the moment, we reckon he would be a damn fine choice though!

In case you are interested in who else will be joining Idris on The Saturday Night show tomorrow night it will be...

Solicitor and socialite Gerald Kean will be chatting about his near death experience, setting a wedding date and his take on recent public scandals.

The parents of Donal Walsh Fionnbar and Elma on Fionnbar’s new book about the private face of their very public son.

The finalists and winner of tomorrow night's sold out student fashion competition Junk Kouture.

And finally, fresh from appearances on Ellen DeGeneres and David Letterman’s TV shows, Lake Street Dive will be performing.

Not too bad a line-up really all in all, of an RTE Saturday night.
