Hillary Clinton's no stranger to TV appearances, having recently turned up in a somewhat dull episode of SNL with Kate McKinnon actually playing Clinton herself.

Now she's going a step further, with confirmation today that the Democratic presidential hopeful is due to have a cameo appearance in Broad City, the hipster comedy starring Illana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson. It's not yet known if Hillary will be playing herself and it's highly unlikely that she'll be lighting up a joint with Illana Glazer, but it's still pretty cool nonetheless.

The show, which is exec-produced by Amy Poehler, has become steadily popular since it began two years ago, with the likes of Hannibal Buress, Seth Rogen and Amy Poehler all turning up in guest-starring roles.

Political candidates making in-roads into popular TV shows isn't anything new, of course. We all know Donald Trump was host of The Apprentice before running for President making a tit out of himself and Bill Clinton also turned up on Arsenio Hall's chat show in the '90s to play saxaphone with his band.

Yes, really. The '90s was a strange and a wonderful.

If you haven't watched Broad City, sort that out because it's brilliant. Here's a little taste.
