The upcoming third season of Ryan Murphy's 'American Crime Story' now has its cast locked and loaded for an explosive season, this time diving into the impeachment of former US President Bill Clinton in 1998.

'Impeachment: American Crime Story' has already cast Clive Owen as Bill Clinton, Beanie Feldstein as Monica Lewinsky, regular Ryan Murphy-ite actor Sarah Paulson as Lewinsky's betrayer, Linda Tripp, Billy Eichner as reporter Matt Drudge, and 'GLOW' star Betty Gilpin as Ann Coulter.

There's one name that's been missing on that list for quite some time, and now it's been revealed by Collider that Edie Falco will play Hillary Clinton. Falco is perhaps best known for her role as Carmela Soprano, the wife of Tony Soprano, on the iconic crime drama series, 'The Sopranos'. Funnily enough, Falco's character there was also married to a serially unfaithful husband.

The season is based in part on 'A Vast Conspiracy', a book written by Jeffrey Toobin, who was also involved with the first season, 'The People Vs. OJ Simpson'. Monica Lewinsky herself is also an executive producer on the season.

No air date has been announced as of yet, but it's understood the season will begin airing at some stage before the end of this year.
