The ceremony took place at London’s Royal Hospital Hall last night and was aired on BBC One.

There was no win for Graham Norton unfortunately, and even more surprisingly, The Crown lost out on best drama series to BBC’s Happy Valley.

The stunning Planet Earth II won best specialist factual while its epic snakes versus iguana chase sequence won must-see moment of the year.
