After the poster for 'Picard' dropped last week, we've now had another look at the new 'Star Trek' series.
When the poster went live last week, it wasn't so much the appearance of the iconic Jean-Luc Picard that people were psyched for. Rather it was the fact that the character is accompanied by a pit bull.
The dog is called Number One after Commander Riker from 'Star Trek: The Next Generation'.
This first image from the new 'Star Trek' series arrives shortly before its first episode of 'Picard' screens at the San Diego Comic-Con next weekend.
Along with the photo - which depicts the Captain and Number One - quotes from the production leadership were included. Franchise boss Alex Kurtzman said:
"There are many things that haunt Picard, but you will not see a version that betrays the man we loved from ‘Next Generation.’"
Series showrunner Michael Chabon praised Stewart, saying:
"The quality of Patrick’s acting has gotten even better. He can hold you riveted even when he’s just sitting and listening."
No streaming date has been revealed as of yet for the series. It'll be available on Amazon Prime in Ireland.
The cast of the series includes Patrick Stewart, Allison Pill, Harry Treadaway and 'Daredevil' alum Michelle Hurd. There's no word yet if some of the original cast from 'The Next Generation' are set to return.
The first teaser for 'Star Trek: Picard' landed in May.
