If you ever needed proof that some American politicians are truly and utterly cracked in the head, then this ten-minute clip from Sacha Baron Cohen's 'Who Is America?' is all the proof you need.
The clip introduces Cohen's alias, Col. Erran Morad, talking to NRA-supporting politicians talking about gun control, arming pre-schoolers and teenagers with guns to fend off attacks on schools, and even comes up with a fun children's television programme to promote.
Again, these people are actually real, are allowed to vote in elections, and are not piss-takes in the way that Sacha Baron Cohen is. There's even a moment when Larry Pratt (again, real name / person), Executive Director Emeritus of the Gun Owners Of America gives a teleprompted piece to camera in support of Col. Morad's children television programme, where he discusses how "children under five also have elevated levels of the pheromone Blink-182, produced by the part of the liver known as the Rita Ora."
