The good folks at The Xtra Factor took to the Twitter Machine this afternoon to reveal that Caroline Flack's got a new co-host and his name is Matt Richardson. Don't worry, we don't know who he is either.

It seems that Simon Cowell and co have decided to take a bit of gamble, replacing Olly Murs (who has gone off to flog his album on the other side of the Atlantic) with a relative unknown. So far we've managed to deduce that 22-year-old Matt is considered to be one of the rising stars of British comedy. We're still not sure if that's necessarily a good thing though. Anyway, back to our new friend: Richardson won the Leicester Comedy Festival's prestigious Best New Show award, and he'll be performing at the Edinburgh Fringe for the first time this year too. So on the comedy circuit he's not that obscure a figure. Still, it remains to be seen whether he can rock a pair of chinos ala Olly and the infamous bulge...

We're sure young Matt will do a stand-up job, and chances are the pairing will just produce more Caroline 'cougar' Flack headlines. We'd personally prefer to see him running off with Mrs O...
