And so, it's all over for yet another year.

Last night saw the 'Bake Off' final pull us all in for one more night of cake indulgence, as we witnessed the crowning of this year's winner.

Laura, Peter, and Dave were all in the running for the title and were challenged with making custard slices, walnut whirls, and a showstopper dessert tower. Did it all go to plan?

Well, Laura undoubtedly had the biggest hiccups of the three finalists, with her custard slices failing to set, and her walnut whirls happening to be the worst of a great bunch. However, Noel Fielding was on hand to dish out words of encouragement to help her through.

The final showstopper proved very challenging to all three of the contestants - it must have been the stormy weather - except for Dave perhaps, who finished up with a few minutes to spare.

And in the end, it was Peter who was crowned the winner of the 'Bake Off' final 2020. He's now the youngest-ever winner of the competition.

There were no friends and family present on the day, but the crew of the show, as well as all of the staff of the hotel the production stayed in, were on hand to celebrate.

Here's some of the best, emotional, reaction that viewers were sharing online. That mini montage at the end caught out a lot of people.

Mr. Spoon got the chop too, after all of those kisses.

We'll take a waistcoat there, Rowan.

And finally, both of these messages at the very end might have set off some people too. Ex-contestant Luis Troyano died earlier this year.
