If anyone deserved a BAFTA win on that stage last night it was Mr Norton considering the whopper year his show has had. Unfortunately though, it wasn't to be for the star who was hosting the ceremony for the eighth time.
The presenter was nominated in two categories; he lost out first time to James Corden's A League of Their Own (who saw that coming?) and second time round to, of course, Ant and Dec. That pair are always getting in his way, aren't they just?
Norton has won five BAFTAs already though to be fair, however, watching him lose is definitely more entertaining. He has famously been openly ungracious in defeat down the years in his own hilariously bitchy way. He hadn't even made it home to his bed either last night before salt was poured in his BAFTA wound....
Fresh from not winning two BAFTAs my driver says - you know on your show when you get out the drinks cabinet? Me - that's Alan Carr. #bliss
