Having recently revealed the most extreme request he ever got from a guest, Graham Norton has now revealed his least favourite guest ever on ‘The Graham Norton Show’.

Robert De Niro may be an iconic actor who has given us some amazing performances and unforgettable characters, but it turns out the man is frightfully boring in reality.

Speaking at a talk at the Cheltenham Literary Festival yesterday, Norton revealed that the show had to edit out most of what De Niro said when he last appeared on the show alongside Anne Hathaway, Kenneth Branagh and Tom Hiddleston (he also came on the show opposite Cher in the past).

“He’s not a storyteller, or very verbal,” Norton said.

“He’s a benign presence. Last time he started telling a story – he went on and on.

“We were all leaning in, willing it to be amazing... then he finally went, ‘why am I telling this?’ Nobody had an answer. We cut it.”

Mind you, his appearance did inspire Hiddleston to do an awesome imitation of the actor’s performance in ‘Heat’, so that’s one thing to be thankful for.

Moreover, Graham also revealed De Niro wasn’t on his least favourite episode of the worst show ever.

He gave that ‘honour’ to a recent episode that aired in June of this year that featured the cast of ‘Ocean’s 8.’ Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Rihanna, Sarah Paulson and Helena Bonham Carter were all perched on the red couch and Graham described them as very excitable.

“I felt like the guy driving the bus on a hen party," Graham remarked.

“For 45 minutes people were talking over each other and laughing. They were having a great time but the audience was nonplussed.”
