As reported earlier, there was sad news yesterday as it emerged that 'Glee' star Naya Rivera had died.
Naya Rivera was renowned for playing the character Santana Lopez on the series 'Glee'.
On July 8th, the actress was reported missing after her 4 year-old son Josie was discovered sleeping alone in a boat his mother had rented for them that afternoon.
Her body was found in Lake Piru in Southern California on July 13th after an extensive search by the Ventura County Police Department.
Many of Rivera's 'Glee' co-stars among other friends and colleagues offered tributes to her on social media.

Naya Rivera’s portrayal of a lesbian latina on television had an immense impact at the time. Santana was always fierce and forward, but also struggled with her sexuality and acceptance. It’s no surprise that she was a fan favorite. This news is heartbreaking. #RIPNayaRivera pic.twitter.com/VqcGGL85ay

Glee's lgbt representation was what made me accept myself. Naya Rivera did what years of self assurance couldn't, and i probably wouldn't have been out and proud if it wasn't for her.
rest in peace angel, you used the last of your strengths to save your son. #RIPNayaRivera pic.twitter.com/9IuDC9W3EI
