As reported earlier, there was sad news yesterday as it emerged that 'Glee' star Naya Rivera had died.

Naya Rivera was renowned for playing the character Santana Lopez on the series 'Glee'.

On July 8th, the actress was reported missing after her 4 year-old son Josie was discovered sleeping alone in a boat his mother had rented for them that afternoon.

Her body was found in Lake Piru in Southern California on July 13th after an extensive search by the Ventura County Police Department.

Many of Rivera's 'Glee' co-stars among other friends and colleagues offered tributes to her on social media.

Though the series was not without its problems, 'Glee' was highly influential. Many praised its representation of minorities and the LGBTQ+ community in particular.

Rivera's performance as Santana was a source of inspiration for many.
