Just three weeks after the 'Love Island' finale, Gemma Owen has landed one of the biggest deals for a contestant in the history of the show — she's reportedly signed a one million pound deal with fast fashion retailers Pretty Little Thing. Naturally, she's garnering comparison to 'PLT' creative director and ex-islander Molly Mae Hague.

Over the course of this year's 'Love Island', Gemma Owen swiftly became a fan favourite with her deadpan comments, her maturity, and her style — well, a necklace that reportedly costs tens of thousands of pounds. As is customary for love island contestants, Gemma has just signed a deal with a major fast fashion label. And it's a whopper one.

Following in the footsteps of one of the most successful islanders of all time, Molly Mae, Pretty Little Thing announced that Gemma is their latest Brand Ambassador via Twitter, saying "IT’S OFFICIAL. Welcome to the PLT family @gemowen_1 We can’t wait to show everyone what we’re working on…".

The 19-year-old is quoted in the Daily Mail as having said "'I wore PrettyLittleThing throughout my time on the show and now being announced as one of their newest ambassadors alongside some incredible talent including Love Island alumni is really special".

Reports say that Owen has signed a whopping six-figure deal with the brand and could potentially be on her way to becoming the richest ex-islander in the history of the show after eight seasons.

Speaking to The Mirror, Owen reportedly said "I really like the Kardashians, I watch them on telly and I follow them on social media. I think they are all good, powerful businesswomen, what they have made for themselves is really inspiring, I’m a massive fan".

She continued, asking "Who wouldn’t like to be a billionaire like Kylie?" and sure, isn't that the billion dollar question, Gemma? Har har.
