If you happened to stay up to watch tonight's episode of 'Game of Thrones', you can only imagine how it went down on Twitter.

It goes without saying that there's spoilers below, so really, don't read this or our review of 'The Iron Throne' unless you've actually watched the episode.

So, could have it ended better? Could we have finally got some closure on all of this that would have kept everyone happy? Absolutely not, you silly sausage.

Still, the episode was clearly aware of how it was going down, and bringing back Edmure Tully as a joke - not to mention Samwell floating democracy - was the small bit of levity we needed.

Let's poke our head into the fire exhaust of Twitter and see how it went down.

Meanwhile, Drogon nudging Dany had everyone thinking the same thing...

As for Drogon's exit, well...

Meanwhile, Bran's ascension to what's left of the Iron Throne didn't exactly go down a treat with people...

Of course, let's not forget Edmure Tully trying to shoot his shot for the throne either...

However, the real star of the show and the MVP of the entire season was undoubtedly Drogon and Ghost...

So, to sum up, how did that ending go down with everyone? Well, here's what happened when we typed in 'ending' and 'Game of Thrones' on Twitter.
