Fox have cancelled a comedy from one of their golden boys, Seth MacFarlane, as it was announced that the sitcom Dads would not come back for another season.

The negative buzz for the series started when an extremely flat trailer debuted online before the sitcom went to air; there was then controversy as claims of racist stereotypes plagued the series.

While this writer can’t admit to seeing an episode, the pairing of (the ace) Giovanni Ribisi and Seth Green, along with the guidance of MacFarlane, really made this one seem like an easy winner.

But despite reportedly doing better numbers than Brooklyn Nine Nine (a critical darling) it won’t be back for a second season, but ‘Nine’ will.

We don't expect this one to have a Family Guy style comeback down the line, either.

MacFarlane has the hilarious looking A Million Ways to Die in the West due this summer, and both Family Guy and American Dad are still highly rated at Fox - so we wouldn't worry too much for him
